Error description

  • URLs appear garbled after login redirect
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Based on a change of the value stored inside the
    WASRequestURL cookie URL's containing blanks (') or any other
    encoded value do lead to wrong redirect URL's if the security
    had timed out and authentication had intercepted the call.
    

Problem conclusion

  • WebSphere does provide a solution for this with the next
    available fixpack (7.0.0.7, 6.1.0.29 and 6.0.2.39)
    Please note: This APAR does not solve the problem; it does only
    enhance the system to automatically pickup the changes WAS
    provides as soon as they are available.
