Error description

  • when using jrio, if the input file is a migrated dataset, it
will be opened using read/write access instead of read-only
 The underlying fopen is passing ab,noseek

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • When the user application performs read operation on a migrated
dataset, JRIO opens the dataset using read/write access instead
of read-only access. This causes the system to insert an
unauthorized access entry into syslog.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Changed JRIO access operation from read/write access to
read-only.

    



Temporary fix


    

  • This defect will be fixed in:
6.0 SR 6

Fixed with Hursley defect 145846

To obtain the fix:
Install build 20090729 or later
