Error description

A consumer is seen waiting for a message to arrive, for example
blocked in a receiveWithWait call. However, viewing the
destination shows that a suitable message is available.

This issue is most likely to occur under heavy load, and only
occurs when the consumer uses a selector, and the producer
sending messages to that consumer does not use a transaction
to send the message.

There is a very small timing window in the messaging engine
code where a consumer created with a selector at exactly the
same time as a message matching that selector arrives on
another thread (outside of a transaction) might not see that
message. Depending on the application design, that consumer
might then wait indefinitely for the message to arrive.

Problem conclusion

The fix for this APAR closes the timing window in the
messaging engine code that caused the consumer not to be
delivered the message.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.7.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
