Error description

com.ibm.ws.tx.jta.UtxJNDIFactory is missing in WebSphere
Application Client. The problem was observer for WebSphere
Application Client 7.0.0.3 for AIX.

Applications that specify "Allow JTA Demarcation" in the
client deployment descriptor were unable to lookup the
UserTransaction object when running in the WebSphere
Application Client.

When using "java:comp/UserTransaction" for the JNDI lookup the
following error was returned:
NamingException: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Name
"comp/UserTransaction" not found in context "java:".

When using "jta/usertransaction" for the JNDI lookup the
following error was returned:

          NMSV0609W: A Reference object looked up from the
context "Cell03/nodes/Node14/servers/server1" with the name
"jta/usertransaction" was sent to the JNDI Naming Manager and
was returned unprocessed. Reference data follows:

Reference Factory Class Location URLs: <null>
Reference Class Name: java.lang.Object

The root cause was that some classes were missing from the
com.ibm.ws.runtime.client.jar file.

Problem conclusion

The missing classes have been added to the
com.ibm.ws.runtime.client.jar file.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.7.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
