Error description

• You are running CICS Transaction server 4.1 and when you
  shut the region down, you see the following messages:
  DFHDM0102I CICS is quiescing.
  DFHDS0002  A severe error (code X'0056') has occurred in
             module DFHDSKE.
  Here is the exception trace entry from the dump:

  The exception apears to involve a task that is currently
  dispatchable, but was suspended in a VSAM exclusive control
  wait, on the following:

  DFHFC0004 A possible loop has been detected, followed by
  DFHFC0002 A severe error (code X'04BB') and finally
  DFHDS0002 A severe error (code X'0056') are issued. If a task
  is waiting in file control for a VSAM string, or exclusive
  control conflict, then it may time out and be resumed by another
  task before it is again dispatched. A purged or timed out
  response will cause a resume to be issued. The double resume
  can cause later problems, for instance the next suspend may be
  resumed immediately. In this case the immediate resume caused
  a corruption of the VSWA wait chain for exclusive control
  conflict, and this resulted in a loop attempting to resume
  all waiters.

Problem conclusion

• DFHFCVS has been amended to ensure a resume after a purged
  response is only issued if the task has not already been
  resumed by the task that was holding the resource.
