APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • JVMLK029 can occur when multiple javcores are requested.  This
    error will cause the jvm to terminate.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • If dgGenerateJavacore fails to write the java core you can
    end up getting a JVMLK029 panic because a global lock is
    released twice.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    1.4.2 SR13 (z/OS 31-bit)
    .
    Code modified so that lock is no longer released twice.
    .
    To obtain the fix:
    Install build 20090910 or later
