APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a template is edited , a temporary application is created.
    For components like PDM , WCM or Wiki backend data is generated
    in JCR. When the template is saved the temporay app is marked
    as deleted and removed by an asynchronous task.  The
    requirement
    is to remove backend data immediately when the template is
    saved.
    

Local fix

  • Backend data is purged immediately when a template is saved.
    

Problem summary

  • When a template is edited, a temporary application is created.
    For components like PDM, WCM, or Wiki backend data is generated
    in JCR. When the template is saved the temporay app is marked as
    deleted and removed by an asynchronous task (usually run once a
    day).
    When customer uses for example a corresponding connector to a
    backend repository (or the JCRExplorer) they can still see the
    backend data although the composite application was deleted.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Backend data is purged immediately when a template is saved.
