PK85626: Content items cannot be selected when "Insert Link" in rte and searching for content

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When inserting a link to a WCM content in the rich text editor,
searching for content without selecting a path to search in
resulted in no radio button being visible to select an item from
the search results. This was achieved by the following steps:
Insert link, browse content, select 'Content' (not a site or
site area), enter a search term and search. The results show no
    radio button for selection.

Local fix

  • The search results table was being given its selection mode
(none) from the browser, whose current selection mode was
'none', as nothing could be selected for the Content folder.
This is different to when a user selects a site or site area, as
now the browser allows a single selection, and so the search
    results would also be selectable.

Since we always want search results to be selectable, if the
selection mode is 'none', then set the selection mode to either
the default mode for that repository browser, or to single
select if no default has been set. This way search results are
    always selectable.
