    ****************************************************************
Customers can use MTOM in Feature Pack for Web Services to
    send attachments in JAX-WS applications.

The JAX-WS web services runtime will make copies of these
attachments and name them with a pattern of AxisXXXXXX.att,
where XXXXXX is an arbitrary sequence of integers.

These copies may not be deleted in a timely manner.

Problem conclusion

  • This APAR introduces a custom property to allow customers to
specify an expiration time for temporary MTOM attachment
    files.

For the APAR to take effect, the customer should set the
following custom property to indicate an expiration time (in
    seconds) for an attachment copy:

    org.apache.axiom.attachments.tempfile.expiration

The units for this property is in seconds. The suggested
    value is 600 (ten minutes).

If an attachment copy is not accessed for a period of time
greater than the expiration time, the JAX-WS runtime will
delete the copy. The default expiration is 0 seconds, which
means that the copy will never expire.

Refer to the Information Center article "Java virtual machine
custom properties" for instructions on how to set a custom
    property on the JVM.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 6.1.0.29. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
