APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Multiple sessions are created if you have two or more remote
  rendering portlets on one Portal page and view them anonymously.
  This occurs in two scenarios:
  
  1) The RRP is configured for LTPA authentication and you have
  enabled session handling using the WCMSessionService.
  
  2) The RRP is configured for credential vault authentication and
  you have enabled session handling using the WCMSessionService.
  
  Note the same problem will occur if the RRP is configured for
  credential vault authentication and you have NOT enabled session
  handling using the WCMSessionService however since the
  WCMSessionService is required for session handling when using
  credential vault authentication this is not considered a defect.
  

Local fix

• For scenario 1) Since the WCMSessionService is not needed for
  session handling when using LTPA authentication you can disable
  it to work around this issue.
  
  There is no workaround available for scenario 2).
  

Problem summary

• The WCMSessionService was not designed to manage sessions for th
  anonymous user case.
