Error description

  • You are unable to run the web services samples on Linux with
    more than one node federated. An exception is thrown while the
    sample script is running when syncing the nodes.

    When you attempt to run the web services samples on Linux with
    more than one node federated you will receive an exception
    (indicated below). This only happens during a node
    synchronization.

    Error segment:
    Imported policy set 'WSReliableMessaging 1_0'
    Attached policy set 'WSReliableMessaging 1_0' to
    'JaxWSServicesSamples' ID=577

    WebSphere:name=nodeSync, process=nodeagent, platform=common,
    node=node2, diagnosticProvider=true, version=7.0.0.5,
    type=NodeSync, mbeanIdentifier=nodeSync, cell=ndcell,spec=1.0,
    'sync', '') exception

    The root of the problem is in sample code associated with node
    synchronization. When this code is called on a Linux
    system, there is an error in the interpretation of a carriage
    return.

Problem conclusion

  • The sample code is corrected to process a carriage return
    correctly on all operating systems.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 7.0.0.5. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
