  • Java Heap OutOfMemory while running WCM MemberFixer tool.
    Heapdump analysis shows the StrongWorkSpaceState objects are not
    being cleared. WorkSpace cache clearing does not always

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Problem Summary:
     Out of memory error occurs when running the MemberFixer Module.
    
    Detailed Problem Description:
     The customer repeatedly sees the failure of the MemberFixer
    Module run due to java.lang.OutOfMemoryError errors. This occurs
     regardless of the numberOfJcrOperationsPerLogin specified in
    the url, which is supposed to clear the workspace caches
     every number of JCR operations specified.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Problem Analysis:
     It was found that the functionality to clear the caches had an
    incorrect checking that results in the system workspaces not
    being cleared.
    
    Problem Solution:
            The checking has been corrected and all workspaces are
    being cleared per the numberOfJcrOperationsPerLogin parameter.
