Error description

  • When using FTPS, EZAFTPRU's setup_FTPOSTPR routine gets
control. At offset x'192a' into EZAFTPRU, an attempt is made
to store a halfword from Register 15 into the location
addressed by Register 14, but Register 14's value at that
point is zero, and therefore execution of the STH results in
an attempt to store into low-core (inaccessible storage). This
causes the abend0c4 reason code 4.

    KEYWORDS: FTPOSTPR 0C4 ABEND TLS

Local fix

  • Do not use TLS.

    ****************************************************************
FTP routine setup_FTPOSTPR() was storing into a buffer that
may not have been allocated yet. This happens for an anonymous
    or TLS user.
