Error description

• The following problems are addressed in this APAR:
  1.  CHANGE.DB ICOFF is issued for recoverable index and not
      for nonrecoverable index.
  2.  IIUB029E IDCAMS PROCESSING FAILED is issued erroneously.
      This occurs for HALDB when DBRC=Y is specified in the INPUT
      statement and APAR PK73601 is applied.
  3.  COMPLETION CODE=A30 DUPLICATE KEY ENCOUNTERED occurs when
      SUBSEQ=(/CKxxxxx) is defined in the secondary index and APAR
      PK73601 is applied.
  4.  COMPLETION CODE=A09 INDEX BUILD PHASE 0 FAILURE occurs when
      SORTFSZ is specified. This is a task synchronization issue.
  5.  ABENDS13E in the main address space after secondary index
      load processing.  This is a task synchronization issue and
      occurs when APAR PK73601 is applied.
  

Local fix

• For Problem 1:
  "CHANGE.DBDS ICOFF" can be issued manually after IB completes.
  If the user issues "CHANGE.DB NONRECOV NOICREQ" to each
  nonrecoverable database in advance, the IC NEEDED flag is not
  turned on even if IB or other reorganization utility issues
  "NOTIFY.REORG".

  This APAR fixes the following problems:
  1.  NOTIFY.UIC and CHANGE.DBDS ICOFF are issued for recoverable
      index.
  
  2.  IIUB029E IDCAMS PROCESSING FAILED is issued erroneously.
      This occurs for HALDB when DBRC=Y is specified in the INPUT
      statement and APAR PK73601 is applied.
  
  3.  COMPLETION CODE=A30 DUPLICATE KEY ENCOUNTERED occurs when
      SUBSEQ=(/CKxxxxx) is defined in the secondary index and APAR
      PK73601 is applied.
  
  4.  COMPLETION CODE=A09 INDEX BUILD PHASE 0 FAILURE occurs when
      SORTFSZ is specified. This is a task synchronization issue.
  
  5.  ABENDS13E in the main address space after secondary index
      load processing.  This is a task synchronization issue and
      occurs when APAR PK73601 is applied.
  

Problem conclusion

• This APAR addresses the five problems listed in the Problem
  Summary field. To fix the problems, some of the current
  behaviors of Index Builder have been adjusted by this APAR.
  
  After applying this APAR,
  1. The following DBRC commands are not issued automatically.
      - NOTIFY.UIC
      - CHANGE.DBDS ICOFF
  
    NOTE: To prevent the IC NEEDED flag from turning on for a
    nonrecoverable index, users should issue the DBRC command
    in advance :
        "CHANGE.DB DBD(name) NONRECOV NOICREQ".
  
  2. VSAM REUSE|NOREUSE attribute is not altered by Index Builder.
  The VSAM data set to be loaded should be empty or reusable.
  If not, Index Builder returns an error without loading to it.
   IIUB053E DATA SET IDCAMS PROCESSING FAILED
   IIUB029E IDCAMS PROCESSING FAILED FOR  DBD=dbdname.
            INDEX DATA SET(S) MAY BE NOT EMPTY AND NOT REUSABLE.
  
  3. Runtime optimization code ( race code ) introduced
  by APAR PK73601 is deactivated to avoid errors added
  by the enhancement.
  
  4. ULU and DLI of the IMS Batch regions are attached
  independently of the DBRC option of the INPUT statement.
