Error description

When customer attempts to uninstall WebSphere Application Server
applications, the applications are being uninstalled but the
ear files in the was_profile_root/<installedApps> directory are
not deleted as required.

In a Network Deployment environment, the binaries of an
uninstalled application will be removed in the next
synchronization cycle after uninstall. The application binaries
path can be defined using WebSphere variables and the
variables in the path are resolved to remove the binaries
after the application is uninstalled. The application name
will be validated against the entry in the node's
serverindex.xml before resolving the variables in the path to
application binaries.

But, in a Network Deployment environment it could be possible
that the serverindex.xml and the application files can be
synchronized in different synchronization cycles. In such
scenarios, the WebSphere variables in the path to application
binaries are not resolved and the applications binaries are
not removed.

Problem conclusion

To resolve the WebSphere variables the fix will also check for
the process it is running. If the process is nodeagent server
or the serverindex.xml has an entry for the application, then
the WebSphere variables in the path to application binaries
will be resolved and the application will be removed.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.0.2.35, 6.1.0.25 and 7.0.0.5.  Please refer to the
