PK81119: SYNDICATION CAUSE SESSION OVERFLOW ON SYNDICATOR

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In WAS Console, "WAS Admin Console->Application
  servers->WebSphere Portal>Session management" under "Maximum
  in-memory session count" section, there is a check box "Allow
  overflow", by default it's checked. Uncheck this check box, and
  set the "Maximum in-memeory session count" to a small nubmer,
  like 5 or 10 (the default is 1000). Then do a full-rebuild
  syndication, syndication would fail. The log on syndicator will
  show following exception:

Local fix

Problem summary

• System create individual session for each item dispatch module
  which fetch the item from syndicator. So if system update 1000
  items, then there will be 1000 new session created.
  

Problem conclusion

• Maintain only one session for multiple item dispatch module.
