* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Message delivery fails indicating a     *
*                      HomeDisabledException while stopping a  *
*                      WebSphere Process or Application        *
*                      Server.                                 *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

When a server is stopping, messaging providers will attempt to
deliver messages to endpoints hosted by applications on that
server until the provider is stopped.  During delivery it is
possible that an endpoint (MessageDrivenBean) attempts to
access an Enterprise JavaBean (EJB) hosted by an application
that is already stopped.  The server will throw a
HomeDisabledException to indicate that the Home interface of
the target Enterprise JavaBean is unavaialble, and the message
will fail delivery.  The HomeDisableException may be resolved
by preventing message providers from delivering messages while
the application server is stopping.

Problem conclusion

Apply APAR PK80671 to enable the application server to
deactivate all active message endpoints before the stopping
applications.
To enable PK80671, the following JVM system
property needs to be set,
"com.ibm.ejs.j2c.J2CServerListener.deactivateEndpointsOnServerSt
opping= true"
For WebSphere Process Server customers it is recommended that
both PK73716 and PK80671 be enabled.
Use the following JVM property to enable both features
"com.ibm.ejs.j2c.J2CServerListener.deferEndpointActivation =
true"

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 7.0.0.5, 6.1.0.25, and 6.0.2.35.  Please refer
