Problem summary

    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When the user performs the *

    * database the process consists in two *
    * phases. First step is to execute the *
    * configuration AdminTask and the *
    * second one is to execute the *

    * last step fails due to the fact *
    * that the database is not created. The *

    *                                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The execution of the serialized DataSet containing the
    database objects creation/configuration scripts fails at
    the step of tablespaces creation step:
    DSNT408I SQLCODE = -204, ERROR: EVENT IS AN UNDEFINED NAME

    DSNT418I SQLSTATE   = 42704 SQLSTATE RETURN CODE

    DSNT415I SQLERRP = DSNXISUB SQL PROCEDURE DETECTING ERROR

    DSNT416I SQLERRD    = 25 0  0  -1  0  0 SQL DIAGNOSTIC
    INFORMATION
    DSNT416I SQLERRD    = X'00000019'  X'00000000'  X'00000000'
    X'FFFFFFFF'
             X'00000000'  X'00000000' SQL DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION
    This is due to the fact that the database creation is not
    performed at a previous step as it should be.

Problem conclusion

  • The database/database objects creation scripts were corrected
    by separating the database creation step from the tablespaces
    creation step and the code responsible with database creation
    has been changed in order to comply with the scripts modified
    content.
