After upgrading to WebSphere Application Server 6.0.2.31,
executing an SQL stored produere that fails with an
SQLException then causes a java.lang.NullPointerException
in WebSphere Application Server.
.
   The NullPointerException occurs when processing an
SQLException returned on a prepared statement.
For example, this SQL query results in an SQLException,

On the exception path a valid SQL exception could be mapped to
null and under some conditions cause a Null pointer exception

Problem conclusion

The code was fixed so no exceptions are mapped to null.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.0.2.37 6.1.0.27   Please refer to the Recommended
