Error description

Web server Plug-in for WebSphere Application Server only
supports storing SSL certificates in Keystores(.kdb files)
residing in  the  file system and handles all SSL processing in
memory.

Support is now provided for Cryptographic cards and
accelerators. Since Plug-in relies on IBM Global Security Kit
(GSKit) to provide this function, only hardware supported
by GSkit can be utilized.

Plug-in does not provide support Hardware Cryptographic cards
and accelerators.

Problem conclusion

Plug-in has been enhanced to support Cryptographic cards and
accelerators.
Leveraging on Global Security Kit (GSKit) APIs, Plug-in is now
able to use certificates stored in hardware and also perform
SSL connection processing in hardware accelerators.
The feature is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs
7.0.0.3 and 6.1.0.23.
