Local fix
WCM cumulative ifix 9 for WCM 6.0.1.4 / 6.0.1.5
Problem summary
WCM cumulative ifix 9 for WCM 6.0.1.4 / 6.0.1.5 This cumulative fix has been superseded. Refer to the Recommended Updates page at http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=688&uid=swg27007603 for the most current CF. This is a cumulative interim fix (iFix) for IBM Lotus Workplace Web Content Managagement, for version 6.0.1x. This fix is applicable to WP v6.0.1.4 and WP v6.0.1.5 This iFix supsedes the following (cumulative) iFixes: PK71419 (Cumulative iFix 1 for WCM v6.0.1.4). PK71679 (Cumulative iFix 2 for WCM v6.0.1.4). PK72731 (Cumulative iFix 3 for WCM v6.0.1.4). PK73644 (Cumulative iFix 4 for WCM v6.0.1.4). PK74395 (Cumulative iFix 5 for WCM v6.0.1.4). PK75099 (Cumulative iFix 6 for WCM v6.0.1.4). PK76127 (Cumulative iFix 7 for WCM v6.0.1.x). PK77047 (Cumulative iFix 8 for WCM v6.0.1.x).
Problem conclusion
A fix is available from Fix Central: http://www.ibm.com/eserver/support/fixes/fixcentral/swg/quickord er?apar=PK77670&productid=Workplace%20Web%20Content%20Management &brandid=2 You may need to type or paste the complete address into your Web browser. This cumulative iFix targets a number of problem areas in the GA release of WCM v6.0.1.4 and WCM v6.0.1.5. Specifically, defects in the following areas have been targeted: Migration, API, Versioning, Syndication, Rendering, Authoring This fix has a co-requisite dependency on PK76701 (WebSphere Portal) The migration tool now finds all orphan site areas and migrates these to a site called orphans. Previously it was necessary to run the Site Checker before migration to ensure that all orphan site areas were accounted for. One side effect of this feature is that all orphans are aggregated into the same site, even those which were previously found by the Site Checker. Failing Module: WCM - Web Content Management (General) Problem Solution: The following APARs are included in Cumulative iFix 9 for WCM v6.0.1.4, WCM v6.0.1.5: PK76792 (High database load during syndication caused by queries against JCR.LNK_USER_ROLE.) PK77507 (Save and Approve button not available upon content creation when an authoring template includes a default Workflow.) PK77402 (Changing the case of the name of a site area not updated in menu & navigator links or in prerendered folders.) PK77054 (Checking the fully qualified URLs in the remote rendering portlet and reusing the rendering context in a JSP can result in malformed URLs.) PK76012 (After installing the fix PK73920, the message "You do not have access to view this portlet" is displayed in remote rendering portlets.) PK72023 (In an ODR env. If a subsequent set-cookie header is received, all previous cookies are lost.) PK58371 (some component references are broken during migration.) PK77217 (If contentServiceCache.storeSerialized is set to false in WCMConfigService.properties a null pointer exception will be thrown each time an item is retrieved from the cache) PK77036 (Out of Memory when using WCM CopyLibrary API.) PK74349 (Two 6013 servers at the same fix level could not syndicate.) PK76170 (NullPointerException from HTMLInputComponentRenderer.) PK73545 (MalformedURLException when using the remote rendering portlet together with a SSL-offloading component in front of WAS.) PK77053 (Cannot apply template for draft copy of published content with approve access.) PK77454 (Users that have manager access can not move content items.) PK76815 (ContentLink errors when syndicating/ContentLinks not syndicated (reset eventlog problem).) PK77705 (Missing remove methods for API resource objects.) PK74118 (LRP goes back to default context when broken link is clicked.) PK53085 (Extra '/' at end of URL when rendered from HTMLCmpnt.) The Portal Update Installer can be downloaded from the following link: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=688&uid=swg24006942 Install: - Create a temporary "fix" directory to store the jar file. - Copy jar file to this directory. - Shutdown WebSphere Portal. - Ensure the pre-requisite fix(es) are installed. - Follow the fix installation instructions that are packaged with the Portal Update Installer on how to install a fix. NOTE: If a pre-requisite fix is not installed, the Portal Update Installer will fail and will list the missing pre-requisite fix(es). - Restart WebSphere Portal. - Backup any files (e.g. custom JSPs) which have been copied to the deployed WCM EAR or portlet WAR directories - Run [WPS_ROOT]\config\WPSconfig.bat|sh update-wcm -DPortalAdminPwd=password Refer to the clustering section of the Portal Information Center (typically 'Clustering -> Performing Upgrades in a 24x7 cluster') for additional information on installing interim fixes in clustered environments while maintaining continuous availability of your Portal. Un-Installation Steps: NOTE: FIXES MUST BE REMOVED IN THE ORDER THEY WERE APPLIED. DO NOT REMOVE A FIX UNLESS ALL FIXES APPLIED AFTER IT HAVE FIRST BEEN REMOVED. YOU MAY REAPPLY ANY REMOVED FIX. - Shutdown WebSphere Portal. - Follow the instructions that are packaged with the Portal Update Installer on how to uninstall a fix. - Restart WebSphere Portal. - Backup any files (e.g. custom JSPs) which have been copied to the deployed WCM EAR or portlet WAR directories - Run [WPS_ROOT]\config\WPSconfig.bat|sh update-wcm -DPortalAdminPwd=password Refer to the clustering section of the Portal Information Center (typically 'Clustering -> Performing Upgrades in a 24x7 cluster') for additional information on uninstalling interim fixes in clustered environments while maintaining continuous availability of your Portal.
