Error description

Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Proxy is leaking memory for
each TCP connection, due to which the customer experiences CPU
Starvation and OutOfMemory errors while the Java Proxy Server
is idling.

No visible errors would be logged in the server log files.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The SIP Proxy leaks a small amount of   *
*                      memory for each TCP or TLS connection   *
*                      made to the proxy.                      *

This problem occurs when TCP (or TLS) connections are made and
broken to the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Proxy. This
problem was seen when a Load Balancer fronted the proxy.  The
Load Balancer made a TCP connection to the proxy every three
seconds to check on the proxy's status.  Over time, the proxy
eventually runs out of memory.

Problem conclusion

Code has been changed to correctly free the memory.
The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.1.0.23 and 7.0.0.5.  Please refer to the
