VisualAge Generator V4.5 ----------------------------- Secure FTP Client created by APAR PK56102 will be disabled since a new SSL certificate is required. Description from PK56102: For security purposes customer has requested that the transfer of generated COBOL programs from Vagen to z/OS host be performed using Secure FTP rather than standard FTP.
New SSL certificate has disable the secure FTP client for the prep phase of generation. In 2007, Customer wanted to do encrypted ftp for the prep phase of the generation. They received a secure FTP client from IBM VAGen Support. This is the client that is being disabled by the new SSL Refer to PMR 15374,005,000 for the orginal secure FTP client. LOCAL FIX: Change the java run statement for VGFTPS class to consider the key store file built by client. This can be done by adding the -Djavax.net.ssl.tru stStore=<jks file path-name> parameter to java command. The basic problem was that the new CA based on X.509 was not considered by the Java FTPS routine. So a Java Key Store file was built for new certificate and declared for Java as a trusted CA.
Made changes to Java command for running VGFTPS class in efksnd file to consider the jks file: ADDRESS CMD 'java -Djavax.net.ssl.tru stStore=<jks file path> -cp $CLASSPATH;.\VGFTPS.jar com.ibm.net.ftps.VGFTPS "' || trnfilename || '"'
