PK72623: WCM COMPONENTS ARE BEING CACHED INDEFINITELY

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer reported seeing stale content when pointing directly to
  a cmpnt using the RRP. The content modifications would not get
  picked up unless the server is restarted or the wcm processing
  cache was cleared manually.Further, the cache monitor was
  showing blank values for the invalidation timeout for certain
  entries in the processing cache which should not happen.
  This problem happens only when WCM Basic/Advanced Caching is
  enabled.
  

Local fix

• Manually clear the WCM processing cache using cache monitor or a
  jsp.
  

Problem summary

Problem conclusion

• In the case of WCM components we were not setting the cache
  expiry time before storing it in the cache
  
  The cache expiry time is being set on the components before
  saving it to the cache.
