Error description

When restarting an application running under heavy load in
a WebSphere Appliation Server process, the application may
begin to see a HomeDisabledException when attempting to
access some of the enterprise beans in that application, after
the application has successfully started.

When an application server is under heavy load and an
application is stopped, while the server process is clearing
the application metadata, there is a timing window that may be
exploited, such that an incoming request to that application
may cause some of that metadata to be re-built and left behind.

Then when the application is started again, the metadata left
behind interferes, causing the application to no longer
work. The failure will be the reported HomeDisabledException.

Problem conclusion

The problem has been corrected by closing the timing window
with a change that disables the application prior to clearing
the application metadata, so that incoming application requests
cannot interfere with the stopping of the application.

The fix for this APAR is included in 7.0.0.1 and is currently
targeted for inclusion in  fix pack 6.1.0.33 and the Feature
Pack for EJB 3.0 fix pack 6.1.0.33.  Please refer to the
