Error description

• Currently the migration import engine automatically ensures that
  a current version exists on import which may be desirable by
  some customers, but increases the time taken for the import to
  complete as well as the size of the database. This APAR
  introduces a configuration option
  'import.ensure-current-version' to control this behaviour where
  the default is to not ensure that a current version exists.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Improve migration import performance by disabling the automatic
  versioning of some published items
  Currently the migration import engine automatically ensures a
  that current version exists on import which while may be
  desirable by some customers, increases the time taken for the
  import to complete as well as the size of the database. This
  change is to introduce a configuration option
  'import.ensure-current-version' to control this behaviour where
  the default is to not ensure that a current version exists.
  

Problem conclusion

• The new 'import.ensure-current-version' migration configuration
  option was added to indicate whether a current version should be
  created if it doesn't exist.
