APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Portal is configured in multi servants mode. Cache replication
is enabled in order to copy cache information on each servant.
When a user logs in, the User Registry gets called and a cache
entry is created. This cache entry is then
replicated on all other servants through the control region
    that causes a performance overhead.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Portal is configured in multi servants mode. Cache replication
is enabled in order to copy cache information on each servant.
When a user logs in, the User Registry gets called and a cache
entry is created. This cache entry is then replicated on all
other servants through the control region that causes a
    performance overhead.

Problem conclusion

  • Reduce cache replications by canalizing cache clearance and
cache invalidations through an authorized access.

This fix introduces a new setting for CacheManagerService
    that allows to enable
    cacheglobal.enableAuthorizedInvalidation = true. The default
value is false resulting in an unchanged behaviour.
