Error description
Problem : Customer is running with V6.0.2.25 Network Deployment/base on AIX platform. When doing single file update operation for a web.xml file from a Network Deployment console it is not updating the web.xml file /../installedApps/./application.ear folder but it did update the time-stamp of the web.xml file with a new time-stamp. It did updated the web.xml file under /../config/cells/cell_name/application,ear/deployments /.. but have not updated the source copy of application.ear inside applications folder of configuration.
Local fix
No work-around.

The failure to update the binaries is due to incorrect processing of the application edition.
Problem conclusion
The fix applies the single file fine-grained application update correctly to the binaries. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fixpacks 6.0.2.32 and 6.1.0.21.
