Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * V6.1 for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Static contents display the PMI data * * but the stats are showing as zero. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The PMI data for static files can be seen after setting the webcontainer custom property com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.fileWrapperEvents = true However, their statistic data are showing as zero in the log. This is because the webcontainer registers each static request using the same static file wrapper instead of the individual requested file; thus it causes the stats data showing as zero.
Problem conclusion
The webcontainer was modified to register individual request for static content. This will ensure that stats data being logged for each request. APAR PK70152 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service Level (Fix Pack) 6.1.0.21 of WebSphere Application Server V6.1 for z/OS.
