    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The automatically created Application *
    * Server V6 server is hardcoded to *
    * always look in the *
    *                      $WAS_HOME/profiles/ directory.          *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The automatically created WebSphere Application Server v6
    servers that are created when the product starts are hardcoded
    to look in the $WAS_HOME/profiles/ directory for the default
    profile. If the default profile does not exist within this
    location then an error will occur stating that the
    security.xml file is empty because it could not be found.

Problem conclusion

  • The automatically created WebSphere Application Server v6
    servers will now use the PMT API to locate the location of the
    default profile rather than the hardcoded location of
    $WAS_HOME/profiles/.
