PK64684: MENU COMPONENT RETURNING MULTIPLE REFERENCES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When menu component kicks in, its result (the resulting
  collection) has multiple references to one and the same content
  document if this content document has more than one sitearea
  paths
  (in content properties) linked to it.
  There is no option or setting in the menu component to make sure
  that a
  reference to a content document is listed once.
  

Local fix

• Workaround:
  
  using the API, with workspace.ContentSearch( Authoringtemplate,
  null,
  Categories), the result is OK - there are no Doubles in the
  resultset.
  

Problem summary

• The XPath query returns all the contents and content links which
  matching the criteria, the links cause more than one result in
  the menu that refer to the same content.
  

Problem conclusion

• A new configuration is introduced to disable all the content
  links. The configuration is a global setting and all the menus
  will be rendered using this configuration. The defeult of the
  setting is true, when the value is false, it will not return
  content link for all menu, otherwise will return links.
  
  To disable the menu content links, put the following setting in
  [WPS]\wcm\shared\app\config\wcmservices\WCMConfigService.propert
  ies
  
  menu.includeContentLinks=false
