PK64517: REPOSITORY BROWSER TREE SCROLLBAR DOES'T REMEMBER ITS POSITION

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Problem:
The browser tree view does not show the same items as prior to a
    request in IE.
The browser tree view does not show the same items as prior to a
request if the expand-tree icon is clicked.

    Analysis:
IE executes the code that positions the scrollbar too early.
Clicking the expand-tree icon was not associated with the view
    positioning functionality.

Local fix

  • IE executes the code that positions the scrollbar too early. That
leaves the scroll bar in the top most position.

    Solution:
The code which positions the view is now executed as part of the
body.onLoad() and the view positioning functionality is now
associated with the expand-tree icon click.

Problem summary

  • The repository browser tree view scrollbar does not remember its
previous location and scrolls back to top after clicking a tree
element on Microsoft Internet Explorer. The positioning code is
not triggered when the expand tree icon is clicked.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix
