PK57272: MAP BUTTON NOT SUPPORTED FOR SYSTEM GROUP VIEWS IN THE WUI

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When using the CPSM WUI to map the CICS System Group views,
  selecting the MAP button results in an 'HTTP 500 - INTERNAL
  SERVER ERROR'.  The MAP button is currently not supported in
  the CSGLCGCS and CSGLCGCG related views.

  *                        the IBM suppled tabular views         *
  *                        'System group to group links'         *
  *                        (EYUSTARTCSGLCGCG) and 'System group  *
  *                        links' (EYUSTARTCSGLCGCS).            *
  *                                                              *
  *                      - User defined tabular views for the    *
  *                        CSGLCGCG and CSGLCGCS objects will    *
  *                        display a Map button if the view has  *
  *                        been defined appropriately, but when  *
  *                        the tabular view is displayed, no     *
  *                        Map Component selection list is       *
  *                        displayed. If the Map button is used  *
  *                        message EYUVH0500E 'Internal Server   *
  *                        Error' will be displayed.             *
  *                                                              *
  *                        The WUI trace dataset will contain    *
  *                        an exception trace from method VAGT   *
  *                        with a POINTID of 151 and DEBUG of    *
  *                        'BadDAT B'.                           *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this    *
  *                 APAR, all WUI servers must be recycled to    *
  *                 pick up the new code.  Note that the         *
  *                 restarts do not need to be done at the same  *
  *                 time.                                        *
  *                                                              *
  *                 Additionally, users of the CICSPlex SM       *
  *                 supplied starter set viewsets and menus must *
  *                 re-import the updated starter set viewset    *
  *                 and menu definitions into each Web User      *
  *                 Interface (WUI) server's repository in order *
  *                 to pick up the changes.                      *
  *                                                              *
  *                 The updated starter set member names that    *
  *                 need to be imported are:                     *
  *                                                              *
  *                 Viewsets :  EYUxA35U, EYUxA35V               *
  *                                                              *
  *                 Replace x with the required language version *
  *                 to be imported: E - English, K - Japanese, S *
  *                 - Chinese.                                   *
  ****************************************************************
  - The tabular views in the IBM supplied viewsets
    EYUSTARTCSGLCGCG and EYUSTARTCSGLCGCG are not defined to allow
    the Map button to be displayed.
  
  - Method EYU0VHVB (VHVB - WUI render View button) is called to
    render the Map buttons and Map component selection list for a
    tabular view.
  
    When the Map button is used, method EYU0VAGM (VAGM - WUI Get
    Map information) will, depending on the object type, attempt
    to retrieve the required component name from the incoming HTTP
    data.
  
    A component name is required for the CSGLCGCG and CSGLCGCS
    objects, but VHVB did not render the Map Component selection
    list. As the component name is not available to VAGM, an
    exception results which causes the EYUVH0500E message.
  

Problem conclusion

• - The IBM supplied viewsets for EYUSTARTCSGLCGCG and
    EYUSTARTCSGLCGCG have been updated to allow the Map button.
  
  - VHVB has been updated so that the Map component selection list
    is displayed for CSGLCGCG and CSGLCGCS views that require a
    Map button.
  
  - VAGM has been updated so that Map component name is retrieved
    for CSGLCGCG and CSGLCGCS views. When a CSGLCGCG or CSGLCGCS
    based Map is selected, the mapped object will always be a
    CSYSGR (CICS Group).
  
    Numerous exception trace entries in VAGM have also been
    updated so that trace debug text and labels are padded to 8
    bytes in length.
