The storage limit for XML was reached, and SQLCODE -904 with
reason code '00D50001 was being returned in csect DSNNOGET.
After the limit was reached, csect DSNNOGET made another
request for XML storage.   The ABEND0C4 occurred because
the storage was not obtained, but a logic error caused
DSNNOGET to behave as if the storage was obtained.

In addition, when rows were being retrieved from the XML
table space, unnecessary page locks were obtained.

Problem conclusion

  • To fix the ABEND0C4 DSNNXML.DSNNOGET+360, DB2 was fixed to
clean up the structures for tracking the XML storage when the
XML storage limit is reached.

DB2 was also fixed to avoid obtaining the page locks on the
XML table space for readers.
