Error description
Customer is making use of RACF exit ICHRCX02 to determine if the transaction is a non-terminal task or not. All is well except when the transaction is a 3270 Bridge task. UXPTERM, UXPLUNAM and UXPTCTUA/UXPTCTUL are not filled in at the time DFHXSRC is making security calls to the security manager. Thus, the RACF exit ICHRCX02 is making a bad decision in this instance. . DFHXSRC, within routine xsrc_setup_instln_terminal_attributes, only makes an INQUIRE_TRANSACTION call to set these values when facility_type is equal to xmiq_terminal. This does not cater for a 3270 Bridge task.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: UXPTERM, UXPLUNAM, UXPTCTUA and * * UXPTCTUL do not address terminal * * information if a task is running * * under a bridge facility. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The RACF exit ICHRCX02 is using UXPTERM to check the termid of the current task. This is part of the DFHXSUXP installation data passed to RACF by CICS if ESMEXITS=INSTLN is specified in the SIT. However, if the current task is a bridge transaction, DFHXSRC is not setting up the information required to provide values for UXPTERM, UXPLUNAM, UXPTCTUA and UXPTCTUL. These should point to the values of the termid, luname, tctua and tctual respectively, as taken from the bridge facility. Additional keywords: bfb
Problem conclusion
DFHXSRC has been altered to extract the terminal information required for DFHXSUXP from the bridge facility for a bridge transaction.
