  *                      to a table after migration to V8        *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  After migration to version 8, ALTER TABLE ADD PARTITION can be
  used to add partition to a partitioned table.  If the
  partitioned table space was created with page size that is
  8K or larger, then the above abend may occur when data
  is inserted into the new partitions.
  
  The problem was caused by incorrect values stored in the
  internal structure when a partitioning index is created.
  However, the incorrect value will not cause any operational
  problem prior to version 8.
  

Problem conclusion

• DB2 code has been fixed so that new indexes will be created with
  the correct value stored in the internal structure.
