Error description
The CICS Statistic Summary Report using DFHSTUP shows the total address space cpu time is less than the total cpu time of all the TCBs. The Address CPU Time was being obtained from ASCBEJST and should be greater than the total CPU consumed by all TCBs. Using CICS Fault Analyzer, adding all the TTIME values for each TCB showed: Total TCB CPU = 00000005 DD92AE60 and the dump showed: ASCBEJST = 00000005 CC9B1960 So it appeared MVS was passing CICS an erroneous Address Space CPU value via ASCBEJST. However, ASCBEJST is not the total CPU for the address space.

**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The CICS Statistics Summary Report * * using DFHSTUP may show the total * * address space CPU time is less than the * * total CPU time of all the TCBs. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** CICS Statistics reports may show the total address space CPU time to be less than the total CPU time for all TCBs when any type of preemptable SRB is executing within this address space or the transaction is the subject of a multi-system work load manager enclave. CICS obtains the Address Space CPU time from the ASCBEJST field, but this does not include the CPU time for any preemptable SRBs whose CPU time is in field ASSBPHTM. ASSBPHTM is not currently included in the CICS address space CPU calculation. Keyword: DSGEJST STAT WLM DFH0STAT
Problem conclusion
DFHDSDM, DFHDSST and DFH$STAS have been changed to include ASSBPHTM in their calculations of address space CPU time.
