Error description
CEDA is used to expand a DJAR resource and the CORBASERVER attribute is modified to lowercase characters but they do not get uppercased ( folded ) and remain as lowercase. Additional Keywords and Symptoms: Under CEDA when defining a file, the dsname gets folded to uppercase.
Local fix
The charcaters should be entered in uppercase.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Resource attributes that can be mixed * * case are not being folded (uppercased) * * correctly. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** CEDA is used to define a FILE resource. From within the 'DEFINE SUCCESSFUL' CEDA panel the DSNAME attribute value is added using lowercase characters. They should be FOLDED ( uppercased ) if the terminal is defined with UCTRAN turned ON but are not and the value remains as lowercase. This is because PTF UK23492 made a change to fold mixed case resource names and attributes from the command line only. If UCTRAN is on mixed case resource names and attributes should always be FOLDED except when any of the following commands are entered against a resource from within a CEDA EXPAND panel and the 'AS' option has not been specified : ALTER, COPY, DELETE, MOVE, VIEW, = or ?.
Problem conclusion
UK23492 DFHEIN23 has been changed to always FOLD resources and attributes that are mixed case when the terminal is defined with UCTRAN on except when a command is entered against a resource from within a CEDA EXPANDED panel.
