Error description

  • Qcapture when using the ignore transaction feature can flood
the IBMQREP_IGNTRANTRC table. Qcapture inserts a row into the
IBMQREP_IGNTRANTRC for each transaction ignored. Qcapture
ignores transactions that satisfy criteria set by the customer
in the IBMQREP_IGNTRAN table. If the critera causes Qcapture
to ignore thousands of rows then thousands of rows are inserted
    into the IBMQREP_IGNTRANTRC as documentation.
This APAR will provide an option to tell Qcapture whether or not
to insert rows into the IBMQREP_IGNTRANTRC.
Qcapture can appear unresponsive as it goes into a
    prune cyle of the IBMQREP_IGNTRANTRC.
The option to insert rows into IBMQREP_IGNTRANTRC
will be made available through a new column in the
    IBMQREP_IGNTRAN table.

1- Q Capture should insert rows into its IBMQREP_IGNTRANTRC
table on a transaction exclusion criteria basis.

Problem conclusion

  • 1- Provide an option to specify whether or not Q Capture will
insert a row into its IBMQREP_IGNTRANTRC table each time it
ignores a transaction. The option will be specified using a
    new IBMQREP_IGNTRAN table column.

    The ALTER TABLE syntax:
ALTER TABLE ASN.IBMQREP_IGNTRAN ADD IGNTRANTRC CHAR(1) NOT NULL
    DEFAULT 'Y';

For each row in the IBMQREP_TRAN table, specify 'Y' for the
IGNTRANTRC column to enable tracing for the ignored transaction
based on the criteria. Otherwise, specify 'N' to disable
    tracing.
