Error description

  • CICS Performance Manager (CICSPM)
runs in a CICS Transaction Sever (CICSTS) region
that hosts a CICSPlexSM (CPSM) Web User Interface (WUI) region.
    .
After applying PTF UK16636 for APAR PK17360 to CICSTS,
if a user connects through CWI to acess CICS, they get the
following messages in the CPSM WUI:
    .
DFHME0115 CMZMET9E Message module for language E not found.
The default module CMZMET9E is used.
DFHME0102 An error (code X'0308') has occurred
in module DFHMEIN while producing message CMZAE0003
    .
The trace showed the following entries:
    00300 QR FT 04D2 .........
DFHTR5001 FEATURE ROUTINE CMZTRCC LOAD ERROR
    00300 QR ME 0307 MEME *EXC* MESSAGE-MODULE-NOT-FOUND
    00300 QR ME 0308 MEME *EXC* INVALID-MODULE
    .
CMZRACE issued a message for a CPSM API GET
for EVALDEF CMZ34D8A which resulted in
           1030 ENVIRONERROR 1321 SOCRESOURCE
and the subsequent request to issue CMZAE0003.
    .
CICS fails to load module CMZMET9E because it doesn't exist.
The module is named CMZMXT9E ("MXT" not "MET"). CICSPM
defined the alias of CMZMXT9E as DFHMET9E.
    .
The code added in DFHMEME by UK16636 allowed CPSM to use the
CICS message domain. It checks for a PRODUCT option on the
DFHMEMEM macro. DFHMEME's use of CICSPM's prefix (CMZ) with
the standard middle (MET) results in a request for CMZMET9E
instead of CMZMXT9E (as shipped in SCMZAUTH).
The old code in DFHMEME just used the DFHMET9E name.
That worked fine for the ALIAS of CMZMXT9E.
According to the CICS Closely-Connected Program Interface,
it is valid for CICSPM to have a DFHMET9E in SCMZAUTH.

CICS Performance Manager runs in a CICS Transaction Server
region that hosts a CICSPlex SM (CPSM) Web User Interface (WUI)
region. After applying PTF UK16636 for APAR PK17360 to CICS TS,
if a user connects through CWI to access CICS, they get the
following messages in the CPSM WUI: DFHME0115 "CMZMET9E Message
module for language E not found. The default module CMZMET9E is
used" and DFHME0102 "An error (code X'0308') has occurred in
    module DFHMEIN while producing message
    CMZAE0003."

CICS fails to load module CMZMET9E because it doesn't exist. The
module is named CMZMXT9E ("MXT" not "MET"). CICS PM defined the
alias of CMZMXT9E as DFHMET9E. The code added in DFHMEME by
UK16636 allowed CPSM to use the CICS message domain. It checks
for a PRODUCT option on the DFHMEMEM macro. DFHMEME's use of
CICS PM's prefix (CMZ) with the standard middle (MET) results in
a request for CMZMET9E instead of CMZMXT9E (as shipped in
SCMZAUTH). The old code in DFHMEME just used the DFHMET9E name.

That worked fine for the ALIAS of CMZMXT9E. According to the
CICS Closely-Connected Program Interface, it is valid for CICS
PM to have a DFHMET9E in SCMZAUTH.

    Additional keywords: msgDFHME0115 0115

Problem conclusion

  • UK16636
DFHMEME has been changed to only use the value of the PRODUCT
parameter when constructing the name of the message table if the
    value is set to 'EYU'.
