Error description
KSC5601 encoding (simplified explanation) Variable width characters, single byte code blocks. Characters are either a single byte in the range 0x00-0x7F or two bytes in which the first byte is in the range 0x80-0xFF and the second is in the range 0x00-0xFF. This is the Korean equivalent of SHIFT-JIS. It's the encoding system Microsoft uses for Korean files in tools like notepad. In an ASCII file, Latin1 codepage the byte sequence E1 20 is an accented a (?) followed by a space. In a KSC5601 encoded file E1 20 is viewed as a double-byte Korean character, however there is no Korean character defined at this codepoint so the two bytes become a single unknown

In order to most effectively allocate our resources, we are limiting the work we do on the legacy GUIs. Since the legacy GUIs would need to be completely rewritten anyway to deal with these issues, we do not plan to expend resources to implement this in the current GUI.
