    ****************************************************************
This behaviour in version 5 affects customers who migrate
their applications to version 6 as in version 6 this behaviour
has been rectified. To provide a compatibility feature for
customers who are migrating applications to version 6, this
    fix has been provided

    In version 6, webcontainer property
com.ibm.wsspi.jsp.usescriptvardupinit can be set to true to
enable this feature for all the applications deployed on a
particular server. If the compatibility feature is
required only for a specific application then the JSPAttribute
useScriptVarDupInit needs to be enabled. If both the options
are set then the JSPAttribute takes preference over the
webcontainer property. This feature will bring back the old
    behaviour as in version 5.

Problem conclusion

  • Code modifications have been made to provide this
    compatibility with version 5.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion
    in fixpacks 6.0.2.17 and 6.1.0.5.
