Error description

  • 5655M1500
    Before PK19855, IBM supplied group DFHDCTG was not locked,
    (IBM PROTECTED). This allowed customers to alter supplied DCT
    definitions without having to make a copy within their own group
    . PK19855 locked the group where customers are no longer able to
    alter the supplied definitions. The Resource Definition Guide,
    Appendix 2.1 DFHLIST Definitions, documents group DFHDCTG is not
    IBM protected.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS Users with UK13428. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After applying PTF UK13428 it is no *
    * longer possible to modify defintions *
    *                      in GROUP(DFHDCTG).                      *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    PTF UK13428 defined new resource TDQUEUE(CDEP) into CICS group
    DFHDCTG updating both DFHCURDI and DFHCURDM.
    However, after defining the new resource in DFHCURDM the group
    is then locked making it IBM PROTECTED. As a result definitions
    contain in group DFHDCTG cannot now be modified. Group DFHDCTG
    should not be locked and modifications should be allowed.

    Additional Keywords: UPGRADE DFHCSDUP

Problem conclusion

  • UK13428
    DFHCURDM has been changed so the group DFHDCTG is not locked
    after defining resource TDQUEUE(CDEP).
