Error description

  • When doing an INQUIRE PROGRAM for a program that has just had a
PHASEIN performed, the LOADPOINT and ENTRYPOINT values returned
may be for the old copy if a new copy has not been loaded yet.
The LOADPOINT and ENTRYPOINT should not be referencing the old
'version' when an INQUIRE PROGRAM is issued.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
It is possible that the values returned for LOAD POINT and ENTRY
POINT for a program that has been the subject of a PHASEIN may
be obsolete. This can occur when the PHASEIN has happened but
the new version of the program has not yet been loaded.

Problem conclusion

  • The PPTE has been changed to include a new flag to indicate if
the program has been the subject of a PHASEIN.
DFHPGIS has been changed to check if the new flag has been set
and if so set the load and entry points to the not loaded
    value.
The CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V3.1 Supplementary Data
Areas Manual (LY33-6108-00) will be changed in the PPTE
    definition at offset 19.
