PJ41105: WHEN TRANSFERRING A WORKFLOW AFTER MAKING CHANGE TO A COMPONENT STEP IT DOES NOT PROMPT USER TO CHECK IN THE WORKFLOW

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • A user set the option to Add/checkin after transfer/launch in
the Process Designer Preferences. However when they remove an
Operation from a Component step they are not prompted to checkin
the workflow during the transfer process.

    Steps to Reproduce:
      - Open the Process Designer applet.
      - Create a workflow with a Component Step and 2 operations.
      - Transfer/checkin workflow.
      - Check out workflow.
      - Remove one of the options.
      - Transfer the workflow.
      - The transfer completes without prompting to checkin the
    workflow.
      - Cancel the Checkout.
      - Reopen the workflow. Note the changes were not saved.

Local fix

  • Manually checkin the workflow using "File | FileNet | FileNet
    Checkin..." menu item.
