APAR NUMBER: PJ40952 PRODUCT: z/TPF FUNCTIONAL AREA: 3270 LOCAL SHIPPED IN PUT: 10 ABSTRACT: Display error on a 3270 local CRT that is permanently logged to SMP after ZLSTP, disconnect terminal, and then ZLSTA. Any customers who have applied APAR PJ40787 should install this APAR as well. PACKAGE CONTENTS: Source Segments: (C) base/rt/cvla.asm Object Only Binaries: None. Configuration Independent Binaries: (C) base/obj/cvla.o (C) base/load/CVLA.so Support Files: base/lst/cvla.lst base/lst/CVLA.map OTHER BINARIES TO BUILD: NO None. COMMENTS: Display error on a 3270 local CRT that is permanently logged to SMP after ZLSTP, disconnect terminal, and then ZLSTA. APAR PJ40787 is an enhancement to allow an operator to recycle (ZLSTP and ZLSTA) a 3270 local terminal that is permanently logged to SMP. If the terminal hardware is deactivated after the 3270 local line has stopped, then when the interrupt status is presented to TPF, real-time segment CVLA resets all the terminal information, including the "permanently logged to SMP" status, which APAR PJ40787 was preserving for ZLSTA (line start) processing. As a result, once the hardware is brought back online and restarted, then the screen is not formatted properly to display text. Real-time segment CVLA needs to add code as well to preserve the "permanently logged to SMP" status if the terminal is taken offline while deactivated.
SOLUTION: Real-time segment CVLA has been updated to add code to preserve the "permanently logged to SMP" status if the terminal is taken offline while deactivated. COREQS: NO None.
