Error description

  • Browse operation timeouts when browsing to a folder with
    millions
    of records.  The timeout occurs due to table scans on the
    database from the performance of the automatic sorting.

Problem conclusion

  • The browse timeout issue is addressed by providing the ability
    to change a default preference setting that returns results in a
    sorted order when browsing for records in a file plan folder.
    After the setting is changed, the browse returns results in an
    unsorted order and greatly improves performance.
