PJ39206: ALLOW USERS TO SPECIFY PORT IN DATASTAGE CONNECTION DIALOG WHEN MAKING CONNECTION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer is unable to establish a connection to a given
  DataStage Server from DB2 Warehouse because the connection
  dialog in Design Studio does not provide an optional field to
  specify the port number.
  

Local fix

• Since 9.5.2, the user is able to specify the port number by
  appending ":" followed by the port number in the host name
  property:
  i.e. Host name: endeavour.svl.ibm.com:31538

Problem conclusion

• After apply this fix, a new field for port number will appear
  when create a new DataStage connection. The user can specify any
  port number by this field.
