PJ32322: IF A TABLE DOES NOT HAVE CREATEIN AUTHORITY, IT DOESN'T SHOW UP ON THE AVAILABLE LIST OF TABLES IN OLAP CENTER.
Closed as program error.
Environment: DB2 Cube Views 8.1 FP 9 on SUN DB2 UDB 8.1 FP 9 on SUN Customer is trying to create a new Cube Model from Windows Olap Center. Selecting Create Facts , customer is complaining about Fact Wizard not showing all the Database tables as Available Tables for Facts object. The customer tried to delete some tables from the DB and after this action in the previous panel she could able to see new tables available ( replacing the ones removed). It seems there is a limit of available table that can be used within the Facts Wizard. The customer has a Database containing about 4000 objects (tables and views). During Facts Object creation, it seems that there is a limit of Available Tables displayed within the Fact Wizard, and so not all the DB tables are shown and so they cannot be chosen. CQ defect: wsdbu00094676
In OLAP Center v8.1 FP9, when creating a new Cube Model in Windows, when selecting Create Facts, the Fact Wizard does not show all the database tables as available tables from the database.
If a table does not have createin authority, it will not show up in the available list of tables in OLAP Center. Tables without createin authority now appear as selectable tables during creation of facts. This includes tables that have createin explicitly revoked and includes system catalog tables under SYSCAT, SYSIBM, etc. Issue verified fixed on date 10-25-2007.
Temporary fix would be to grant createin authorization to the needed table.
