PI99540: A CICS service provider service does not return a response if the CICS container is deleted and added again.

APAR status

• Closed as unreproducible in next release.

Error description

• When a client invokes a CICS service the expected response data
  might not be returned. When the CICS program uses the same named
  container for input and output on the channel, but deletes the
  container and re-adds it, z/OS Connect EE does not identify
  the re-added container and deletes it.
  

Local fix

• Use separate CICS containers for input and output.

  When the CICS program deleted the input container and added a
  container with the same name for output data, z/OS Connect EE
  deleted the container and did not return the response data it
  contained to the client application.
  

Problem conclusion

• z/OS Connect EE has been changed to identify the re-added
  container as a modified container and return the response data
  to the client application.
  
  It is expected that the fix for this APAR will be delivered by
  the PTF for z/OS Connect EE V3.0.12.0 (APAR PH01052).
